The Division of Communication Engineering consists of 32 full-time and 8 part-time faculty members. All faculty members belong to one or more of the following research groups:

Microwave Circuits, Antennas and Propagation

Modulation, Coding and Signal Processing

Media and Networking

Optical Communication


Most of the faculty members of the Division are also associated with one or more of the following research centres:

Network Technology Research Centre (NTRC)

Positioning and Wireless Technology Centre (PWTC)

Satellite Research Centre (SaRC)


The Division of Communication Engineering actively engages in externally funded research projects. In the past few years, the Division has attracted an average annual funding of S$ 4.0 million.
